Ketchikan Creek, Ketchikan, Alaska. A few hundred feet from where I work, shot yesterday afternoon. This is an HDR image, from five different exposures, which gives kind of an unreal effect to the gulls flying, and if you download the full-size image, you can see that it made individual gulls in the water into little groups of gulls--kinda cool!

Creek Street, the boardwalk and buildings that line Ketchikan Creek, was once a notorious red light district. Here's a brief history: [link]

I found out my friend is working in Ketchikan...Geni..I was watching TV last night and they had a show on the travel channel called Extreme Alaska Adventure., and the last segment was on Zip lines thru the tree tops and I looked upand there she was...then down in town with a Bear cub...She works with the park service...
She ran a Wildlife Rehabilitation center Here in Tonopha AZ...I went out and helped when I could....and did Animal Rescues on the West side...
But to see here last night.. so of course had to Email her right away...
